As part of our collaboration with Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce the following article appears in the September edition of their magazine “53 Degrees” (page 18)   http://www.53degreesmagazine.co.uk/

COOLAIR HAS been a part of the Tameside construction scene for 35 years but is a newcomer to Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

After   the   retirement of the founding managing director in 2012, the new management team are, in the words of Steve Valentine, Manchester office director “more focussed on getting Coolair recognised for what we actually do, not what the market assumes we do.”Steve continued: “As one of the largest contractors in the industry, we’ve acquired a reputation for only doing large projects. This couldn’t be further from the truth. People are astonished when we tell them that 65% of our work comes from contracts of less than £10,000.”

“Although we are a large national contractor, as a company we have a small family feel. We sell air conditioning extremely well, but until now we’ve never really sold ourselves. One key aim for the new management team is to change this.”

“We’ve been getting involved with the Chamber by supporting key events such as the Construction Summit and the Construction & Property Annual Dinner. This local networking is already starting to change perceptions of the range of skills, products and services Coolair can provide.”

“But we really want to sell the type of people we are – as we all know in business ‘people deal with people’. We’re proud of our staff, and proud in 2015 to be able to give a little back by raising money for our chosen charity Challenge Cancer UK. Coolair staff and clients will be cycling 450km through Vietnam to raise funds for a cause which is sadly close to many people’s hearts these days. We’re over halfway to our target of £50,000 already, and if you’d like to follow our progress please check out www.justgiving.com/teams/Team-Coolair-cycle-from-Saigon-to-Ankor-Wat.”

“Our most exciting project however has been the re-development of our website. Visit us at www.coolair. co.uk – although still in development the site now contains key resources and contact information, and we even have all our photos on there, so you can actually get to see who you’re talking to!

“Coolair are an old established name with a modern approach. Check us out – we hope we’re the type of people you’d like to work with!”
