‘’The memories I have made over the years at Coolair are enough to last a lifetime’’

My career in the HVAC industry started as a fresh face 17 year old back in 1977. After cutting my teeth for a few years I was invited to join Coolair’s Manchester office as a Sales & Project Engineer in 1984.

Over the following 40 years I have played a significant role in building Coolair in to a nationwide operation, opening our original office in the Midlands in the 1980’s where I became Branch Director then in 1987 relocating to the South to run and develop our Maidstone office from where I continue to work.

I worked my way up from the bottom and in 2012 I became Managing Director, but only last year I handed over the MD role to Mark Garstang but continue to work within the business as a senior director. I still embody the company’s ethos and values and work hard to ensure that these are passed on to the younger generations who are now a key part of our team and our future.

My favourite thing about being part of Coolair’s family is definitely the family feel I get each day coming into work, the office laughs we have and the memories I have made over the years at Coolair are enough to last a lifetime.

I’m all about hitting the gym and keeping fit when I’m not working. I love pushing myself and staying active. I also play guitar, but let’s be real, I’m not winning any awards for it! Just having fun strumming away.

Now, I have already lived my perfect day and I would do it again if I could – Watching Man City win the treble! Waking up and settling in to watch the match. The excitement, the goals, and the victory celebrations was just epic. Ending the day with friends, celebrating the win, and maybe even playing a few bad guitar riffs to keep the vibe going!
